Animation Universe - Outline

Thesis – In the Marvel universe, physics is
pushed beyond normal limitations through superhuman strength and supernatural
powers.
II. Body
A)
Personal Physical Powers (Supernatural powers)
a.
In the bar scene, Yukio is confronted by some
drunk men holding beer bottles. She cuts through beer bottle and a wooden stool
so fast the objects forget to fall and defies gravity.
b.
The robotic samurai has a 10 foot sword that can
heat up very quickly. Wolverine steals the sword and holds it with ease with
one hand
c.
Wolverine cuts through metal and concrete walls
like butter.
B)
Inconsistent weight
a.
Adamantium is an indestructible metal in the
Marvel Comics. Wolverine is a superhero infused with adamantium. But since the
metal is indestructible it means it is very dense. How can Wolverine fight and
move quickly when his bones are laced with Adamantium? Throughout the movie,
wolverine is fighting ninjas and moving quite fast for his weight and height.
b.
Wolverine is fighting a ten ton robotic samurai
and gets thrown around the room. Wolverine flies through the air and completely
shatters a 20 inch solid concrete wall. The thickness of human flesh and
muscles should absorb the impact.
c.
A ten ton robot jumps down three stories and
does one and a half spins in the air then falls. Wolverine then tackles the robot and they both
fall down the shaft.
C)
Laws of Motion & unrealistic paths of action
a.
Wolverine is fighting the yakuza on a bullet
train and defies the law of motion. Bullet trains move up to speeds of 300 mph.
wolverine and the yakuza seem to ignore the law of motion and keep fighting.
b.
Wolverine slices a man’s leg and the man goes
flying in the air and does two summersaults.
c.
Wolverine
gets flown in the air at an unrealistic arc while atomic bomb goes off.
III. Conclusion
a.
The law of physics and motion are repeatedly
broken during the whole movie.
b.
By breaking the laws of physics, it creates a
more enjoyable movie for the viewers and comic book readers.
